Amanda Ayala forgets to pack her own clothes on family trip in

In a TikTok that you’ll probably relate to a little too much, a mom has shared how she forgot to pack her own clothes on a family trip.

In just one of the thousand ways moms take on the mental load, she managed to pack everything her kids needed for the camping holiday but completely forgot about herself.

And to make matters worse, she didn’t even realize until she was already on vacation.

Thankfully, the mom, Amanda Ayala, has a great sense of humor and took to TikTok to share the relatable moment.

The video has since gone viral, with other moms commiserating and sharing their own forgetful moments.

“I hope they appreciate all that I do”

The mom-of-two captioned the clip, which now has over 4.3 million views, “I hope they appreciate all that I do.”

And the text on screen reads: “Moms always suffer.”

The footage begins by showing her kids in the back seat of the car, fully dressed.

Then her husband Efrain begins filming Amanda as she walks out of the showers towards the car with her hair dripping and just a towel on.

“Hey, why does everybody else have clothes on and you’re still in your towel?” Efrain yells to her out of the window (a little too gleefully).

She then hops in the car looking defeated and says: “Because I’m the mom. And I get everybody else’s s–t together and not my own. So I come to the shower house with nothing. So here I am.”

He replies, provoking her: “I had a super peaceful shower, it was nice.”

Amanda then looks him dead in the eyes and says, “Take me home.”

Hopefully, he comforted her when he stopped filming or at least gave her his shirt!

“I knew he was a dead man”

Other parents took to the comments with their own similar stories, proving that sometimes, we’re all just trying to keep it together amidst the chaos of motherhood.

“Man I feel this… I get everything cleaned and packed/organized for camping and hubby drives the car,” one mom sympathized.

Another added: “I can’t even laugh, this is literally the biggest frustration in my life!”

“I feel her!! No one ever worries about mama but she got to worry about everyone else,” another person wrote.

And this woman joked: “Just from that tone alone, I knew he was a dead man.”

“Oh, man. I feel this in my soul. A ‘family’ vacation is literally not a vacation for mom, lol,” another TikToker replied.

“Dad, step up,” stated another. 

Amanda told TODAY that even though her hubby copped some backlash from the video, he does carry his weight in the marriage.

“(The video) doesn’t make him a bad person. We’re just showing you that this is real life,” she said.

But even though she insists that her husband does his fair share, she does recognize how much she has to take on in order to make trips like this happen.

“This situation embodies what we do as women — we are last, I’m always last. It’s kind of the role we take.”
