Vancouver flights: 3 night YVR package to Las Vegas for $306

This is one of the best vacation packages on the market.

Locals looking to escape unseasonably cold spring temperatures can fly to the “City of Sin” with accommodation for about $100 a day.

While many destinations south of the border cost upwards of $500 for a round-trip, direct flights out of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) with three nights of accommodation in three- or four-star hotels start at $305 in May.

Low-cost carrier Sunwing offers a package to Las Vegas that departs Vancouver on Tuesday, May 9 and returns on Friday, May 12 with accommodation at the four-star Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino for $306 including all taxes and fees.

There are several other accommodation options to choose from that only cost slightly more, such as the centrally located Circus Circus Hotel & Casino and the Luxor Hotel and Casino.

The outbound flight departs YVR at 4:45 p.m. and gets into LAS at 7:29 p.m. The return flight departs LAS at 8:15 p.m. and gets into YVR at 11:00 p.m.

Travellers looking to stay in a fancier option can enjoy a three-night stay at The Venetian Resort for $516 including all taxes and fees or at The Mirage Resort and Casino for $522.

For another luxurious option, a three-night stay at the five-star Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino is a steal at $536 per person in the Resort King room category.

The property is unique because it has real sand and a wave pool for guests to enjoy on the 11-acre property.

A trip to Las Vegas can include all of the usual suspects — gambling, impressive shows, pool parties, and big-name DJ concerts — but there are a plethora of other activities and attractions to enjoy in the city or just outside of it.

Visitors who venture outside of the entertainment zone can take a nostalgic trip down memory lane with a visit to Old Vegas or a day trip to see the Grand Canyon.
